Derek Schletzer, ChSNC
Financial Advisor
Derek, a Nashville native, spent 16 years as a music educator at Father Ryan High School, specializing in percussion. After transitioning to financial education, he now helps clients achieve their financial goals by leveraging his background in teaching and fostering trust through honesty and integrity.
Derek earned his Bachelor’s degree from Middle Tennessee State University and has been part of three drumline world championships, both as a teacher and performer. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Kim, and they have two children, Madison and Carson. They reside in Nashville, where Derek enjoys family travel, grilling, and supporting his favorite sports teams.
Derek serves on the Board of Directors at Waves Inc. and is the Vice President of his BNI “Business Leaders” Chapter. He holds FINRA Series 6, 7, 63, and 66 licenses, Life and Health Insurance licenses, and the Chartered Special Needs Consultant (ChSNC) designation, specializing in financial planning for families with special needs.
Brad Bush
Senior Financial Advisor
Brad began his financial services career in 1985, encouraged by his father, Leighton Bush, to pursue financial planning within the family business, Bush Insurance & Financial Services. In 1988, he joined Travelers Insurance, where he met Larry Brinks, who helped him grow his practice over the next 30+ years.
Brad has built a successful practice by using proven financial strategies and portfolio design to help clients achieve their long-term goals. He holds FINRA Series 6, 7, 72, 63, 24, and 51 licenses and is licensed in Life and Health Insurance.
Brad is married to Shana, his wife of 38 years, and they have two children and four grandchildren. A lifelong Nashvillian, Brad attended Holy Rosary Academy, Father Ryan High School, the University of Tennessee, and St. Stephens Church. He enjoys boating, traveling, and golfing in his free time.

Bryan Brinks
Financial Advisor
Bryan began his career in Finance and IT, working as an IT Auditor/Consultant for Arthur Andersen and PricewaterhouseCoopers before co-founding SSB, a sports data management company. After selling SSB to a private equity firm in 2018, Bryan remained with the company until its rebranding as Affinaquest in 2023.
Inspired by his father, Larry Brinks, he transitioned to financial advising full-time in 2022 after discussions with his long-time advisor, Brad Bush.
Bryan holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses, along with Life and Health Insurance licenses. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Management and Finance from Purdue University. Bryan and his wife, Jennifer, have three children—Adam, Alex, and Emily—and reside in Brentwood, TN. In his free time, Bryan enjoys golf, visiting the Florida Panhandle beaches, and skiing out West..
